In December, ELLE DECORATION unveiled the list of 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Awards.
WJ STUDIO's project "Boatyard Hotel" was honored to be the winning project of this year's hotel category and was included in 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual .
As a witness and recorder of Chinese design, ELLE DECORATION China launched its annual special issue ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual in 2018, which included more than 100 outstanding interior design works of that year, and awarded ELLE DECORATION CHINA INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS, now in its sixth year.
In December, Archilovers, a famous Italian design website, announced #Bestarchilovers2023.
WJ STUDIO's Ansan Hotel and Boatyard Hotel were loved by many designer readers and selected as the most popular projects among 50,000 projects released this year.
From 29th November to 1st December, Mr. Hu Zhile, Founder/Design Director of WJ Studio, was invited to participate in WAF World Architecture Festival/INSIDE World Festival of Interiors in Singapore, and gave a live presentation and defense of the shortlisted project, "Boatyard Hotel".
In the competition, the project Boatyard Hotel finally won the Highly Commended award in the Interior Design - Hotel category.
In November, Dezeen announced the shortlist of the first Dezeen Awards China 2023, and WJ STUDIO's project "Sunac. Mogan Valley. Zhulinli Group Demonstration Area" was honored to be shortlisted in the Hotel and short-stay Interior category.
The Dezeen Awards China 2023 is the first regional award launched by Dezeen Awards, which aims to recognize the best architecture, interior design and design works, as well as the most outstanding studios and individuals from China.
On July 13, 2023, in conjunction with the World Architecture Festival (WAF), the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors revealed its shortlist for the year 2023. A total of 73 projects from around the world were selected for this edition of INSIDE.
Among them, WJ STUDIO's "Boatyard Hotel" was shortlisted in the Hotel category for the 2023 INSIDE event. They have been invited to participate in the INSIDE Singapore annual celebration and on-site presentation from November 29th to December 1st. They will be competing with design teams from around the globe for the ultimate prize.
On March 16, 2023, the "2022 Yangtze River Delta and Some Provinces and Cities in China Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space Competition" held an award ceremony at the People's Cultural and Art Museum in Pudong New Area. Under the careful guidance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, and the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, as well as the strong support of various provinces, cities, and districts, the competition has explored and established a number of model cases for the integrated development of national public culture, accumulated "design strength" for public cultural spaces, and enabled the creative design industry to empower public culture and a better life.
